The Canadian Legacy Project
The Canadian Legacy Project is a non-profit foundation working across Canada. The Canadian Legacy Project was created because many of our youth, seniors and veterans are living in poverty and do not have the basic necessities in food, clothing and shelter. The Canadian Legacy Foundation is designed to support our disadvantaged youth, seniors and veterans and develop programs and events to help improve their everyday lives.
If you are interested in donating to the project please send your cheque to:

The Poppy Appeal - supporting The Royal British Legion
Like us, many Canadians still have family and friends in the UK. So for our cousins across the sea, we here at Crown Surplus takes part in The Poppy Appeal in support of the Royal British Legion. In exchange for your donations, you will receive a British version of the lapel poppy. Plus for every donation made through our store by Remembrance Day, we will match it before sending the total to the Poppy Appeal.

Outward Bound Canada Veterans Program
Every veteran knows of a comrade who has struggled with difficult personal issues following military service and transitioning back to civilian life. Despite the growing awareness of such issues, there still remains very few resources available to veterans who have been impacted by their service but who are not seeking help from a mental health professional.
At the same time, there is so much more to our military veterans than the burden of their experiences. With a supportive community, those same challenging experiences can become great leadership assets. While utilizing much of the camaraderie, team work, decision making and physical challenges experienced, but in a non-combat outlet, Outward Bound aims to give veterans access to that support.

The Royal Canadian Legion
The mission of The Royal Canadian Legion is "to serve veterans and their dependents, to promote remembrance, and to act in the service of Canada and its communities." In this spirit, the Royal Canadian Legion's site is great for finding out about Canada's military heritage, the history of the Poppy Campaigns and about year round local programs and events.

The C.A.V. - Canadian Army Veterans
The Canadian Army Veteran (CAV) Motorcycle Units were started in 2003, by veterans who shared a common history as motorcyclists on duty and off. In addition to continuing the bonds and traditions that were formed in times of war and peace, they have also assisted, and continue to assist, numerous charities in achieving their monetary goals.
