NOTES: The small children's gas mask, designated the PDF-Sh was designed for use by young children ages 5 to 7. There were several types, all using the МД-3 (MD-3) face piece, with some made from gray rubber and some made from black rubber. The earliest type (at right) used a metal exhale valve guard whereas later types used a black plastic valve guard.
