Issued to French Gendarmes who serve as police in French towns and small cities as well as Military Police in all branches of French Military including French Foreign Legion, as well as a number of other duties including Port Security & Counter-terrorism.
 French Gendarme units have also sometimes fought in military conflicts alongside regular French forces as far back as the 1600’s.
